Supplements For Your Full Body Detox
Supplements are an important part of any body detox program. When beginning your natural body detox, you may not feel very well due to the toxins leaving your body. A good balance of supplements and nutrients will help you get over the initial uneasy feeling and support your natural body detox. So what supplements and nutrients should you look into?
1. Multivitamin: Even if you are not on a body detox program, a good multivitamin is important to maintaining health. Be sure your multivitamin included the following:
* Vitamin A
* Vitamin D
* Vitamin E
* B1 (Thiamine)
* B2 (Riboflavin)
* B3 (Niacin)
* B5 (Pantothenic Acid)
* B6
* Folic Acid
* B12
* Biotin
* Calcium
* Magnesium
* Phosphorus
* Zinc
* Copper
* Selenium
* Manganese
* Iron
* Chromium
* Vitamin C
2. Milk Thistle and Silymarin: This antioxidant is important and supports the liver by stimulating protein synthesis. It has a group of three potent flavanoids-silybin, silydianin and silychristin-which collectively are called Silmarin. A great addition to your whole body detox.
3. Probiotic: Comes in capsule form. Take a high-strength, multistrain version.
4. Vegetable Superfoods: In addition to the vegetables you should be eating as part of your body detox program, you should also include spirulina and chlorella in your full body detox. Look for them in capsule form.
These superfoods will help stabilize your blood sugar levels throughout the day. They also contain GLA, an omega-3 fatty acid.
The other great thing about chlorella and spirulina is that they contain tons of protein. They actually have 12 times the protein of beef, and contain all the B vitamins, including B12, Vitamin C, E and major minerals. They are definitely an awesome way to improve your health without a natural body detox.
5. Essential Fatty Acids: With all the hype surrounding omega-3s, many people forget about the omega-6 and the lesser known omega-9 fatty acids. The best way to get the right balance of all three is to take a combination of black currant, flaxseed, perilla, and fish oil.
6. Oil-Soluble Vitamins:
* Vitamin A: Promotes good skin, vision, immunity, healthy skin and hair. Also aids in cancer prevention.
* Vitamin K: Unlike other vitamins, this is not stored in your body so you don’t need to take regularly. It is a powerful antioxidant and essential to blood clotting.
* Vitamin E: Works with other vitamins to protect your body against cancer and other diseases. It supports immune system functions and helps repair damaged tissues.
* Vitamin D: This vitamin is necessary for the absorption of calcium and phosphorus. It also helps with the immune system and heart.
7. Water-Soluble Vitamins:
* B-Complex Vitamins: These include B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12, folic acid and biotin. These vitamins play a part in energy production during the metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins and fats. Collectively these vitamins keep your immune, skeletal and nervous system healthy.
* Vitamin C: An important antioxidant that protects us from the cancer causes we encounter everyday. It helps heal wounds and protect against colds and other minor sicknesses.
Certain Herbal Weight Loss Products
The increasing consciousness regarding the ill effects of obesity have led to an upsurge of various weight loss products in the market. While weight loss diet, dietary supplements, pills are considered to be the most popular options among the consumers, it is to be borne in mind that while these products ensure rapid weight loss, some of these are quite harmful and are liable to cause damage to the various organs of the body. Therefore, many people are wary of using such artificial products and prefer natural and herbal ingredients for attaining weight loss as these herbal products are considered to be much safer than its artificial counterparts. However, while this is a prevalent conception, it is necessary to point out that similar to the artificially made products for weight loss, the natural products too have certain side effects and it is always better to conduct a prior research before investing on any kind of product for the purpose of losing weight. Another significant fact that also needs to be borne in mind is that all the herbal products carry labels which declare them to be safe for usage but still one must inquire properly before consumption.
Chromium picolinate is a compound which can control the levels of blood sugar but then if taken in excess it has several disadvantages in the form that it can cause dehydration and also cause harm to the chromosomes. In the teas, a very significant ingredient is senna and is a laxative which is used by people for regulating weight loss. This is because it causes swift bowel movement and at the same time prevents the absorption of the excess calorie intake by an individual aiding weight loss. However it too has certain side effects. A recent innovation which is considered to be an effective ingredient for weight loss is known as organic food and it is increasingly being considered to be a great new means of ensuring good health and effective weight loss and in fact organic food has been adopted by various restaurants and eating joints as well to be served to their customers. Caffeine which is the primary constituent of coffee has always been considered as a great ingredient as caffeine increases metabolism aiding the increased burning of fats within the body. Various products which possess apple cider vinegar as one of its core components are also considered to facilitate weight loss considerably.
Celebrity Beauty Secrets III
So now you know how to clear up the occasional bout of adult acne, prevent fine lines and wrinkles (or at least try), and use makeup to hide imperfections (see Celebrity Beauty Secrets Part I and II). Now what about the rest of you? With warm weather knocking at our formerly frost-bitten doors, a girl has got to look golden. Say goodbye to pasty skin, lifeless hair and those extra winter pounds with these celebrity beauty secrets.
The Perfect Tan
So what do Jessica Alba, Britney Spears, Paris and Nikki Hilton, and Nicole Richie have in common? Yes they’re all famous and they’re never seen without a perfect tan (hey, you still should look good in your mug shot or psych ward intake photo right?)
And where else do these celebutants and leading ladies get their bronzed glows than LA Sunset Tan. You know, the notorious LA tanning spa featured on E! Entertainment’s hit reality TV show “Sunset Tan”. Who can forget the Olly Girls?
“At LA Sunset Tan, we provide the star treatment to our clients that keep celebrity clientele including Jessica Alba, Lindsey Lohan and the Hilton sisters looking radiantly bronzed,” says Kevin Haman, CEO and Founder of LA Sunset Tan. “Our signature “LA Sunset Tan Cocktail” offers guests VIP robe service and complimentary beverages as they slip from the state-of-the-art, high-pressure bed into a sunless spray unit in order to achieve the freshest golden glow.”
LA Sunset Tan even offers a spray tan that defines muscles, giving the look of a six pack. Is anything real anymore? If it looks good, who cares right?
A Cure for Cellulite
From patented solutions to natural remedies, celebs have access to the best cosmetic surgeons and doctors. Besides the make-up artists, hair stylists and fashion designers, some stars turn to talented doctors to transform flaws into assets-literally overnight.
Dr. Lionel Bissoon, who brought the cellulite cure from France to the US eight years ago, then stabilized the solution and the delivery technique, turned his talents toward rejuvenation that can make a difference instantly.
Called Mesotherapy, this method is simply dozens of quick pricks with small amounts of solution injected almost painlessly into the middle layer of the skin. Mesotherapy produces consistently effective results for stars of any shape, size, or weight.
When celebrities need a quick lift, Dr. Bissoon uses The Mesolift, a rejuvenation technique that can take years off a face while also giving the illusion that the star has lost weight-a thinner sculpted face makes the body appear slimmer.
The Mesolift process delivers vitamins, minerals and amino acids directly into the skin to nourish and rejuvenate, promote production of collagen and elastin, and stimulate the metabolism. Anti-aging solutions that are actually good for you.
The solutions work immediately, so sagging jowls, droopy eyes, a puffy face, or a double chin disappear almost as soon as they are injected. So the celebrity can even visit Dr. Bissoon on Oscar day (or for any event in front of cameras) and walk out of his office looking refreshed, relaxed and rejuvenated for the evening.
Almost as fast is body sculpting for love handles, back fat or saddlebags, which paparazzi capture with unflattering accuracy (or company picnic photos for the rest of us). Through the use of proprietary fat burning solutions injected into the “meso” or middle layer of the skin the fat cells are permanently destroyed and the body eliminates them naturally through the bloodstream in just a few weeks.
Oscar Day arrives and voila! Celebs walk the red carpet toned and tightened with thinner thighs and smooth buttocks beaming with a healthy happy glow.
Crowsfeet and Fine Lines
“As nominees and celebrities prepare for their close ups, many of them look for small changes; maybe they are tired of the crows’ feet around their eyes or they would like fuller, plumper lips. For them, injectable fillers are a great answer,” says Dr. 90210Plastic Surgeon Dr. Paul S. Nassif.
The key is subtle enhancements that don’t sound the alarm. That’s why Dr. Nassif developed “The Anti-Gravity Facelift,” which leaves no visible scars and has been noted for achieving natural-looking results in the shortest recovery time.
You don’t have to have celebrity bank accounts to take advantage of the many non-invasive cosmetic procedures out there such as the diamond-abrasion photofacial (microdermabrasion without the messy crystals), which costs no more than $300.
No Fuss Hair
Ever wonder how celebrities look great even in those candid photos? Almost everyone looks fabulous if her hair looks fantastic. So do celebrities have stylists do their hair every single day? Of course not! They just know how to blow dry their hair. And you can too. Raymond Marc Salon in Walnut Creek, California offers blowdrying classes for the hair challenged (it’s hard holding the blowdryer in one hand and the brush in the other!). If you can’t make it to California, make an appointment at your local salon for a lesson.
At-home beauty remedies
Want glowing skin like Jessica Alba, Scarlett Johansson and Reese Witherspoon without the high cost of chemical peels, facials and expensive spa treatments?
Look no further than your medicine cabinet! For smooth feet, glowing skin and gorgeous hair, Epsom Salt has been the beauty secret for stylish and savvy women for decades. For just pennies a pound and available at your local drugstore or supermarket, Epsom Salt is a proven way to achieve a red carpet ready look.
Epsom Salt is a great at-home spa treatment that is easy to use as a gentle face mask, an exfoliating skin treatment, or a bath salt, leaving skin radiant and glowing.
Exfoliate: Mix 2 cups of Epsom Salt with 1/4 cup of petroleum jelly and a few drops of lavender essential oil. Use the mixture to gently scrub away dry skin patches.
Gentle facial: Mix 1/2 TSP of Epsom Salt into cleansing cream for a deep-pore cleansing. Massage on skin. Rinse with cool water. Pat dry.
Relaxing soak (remember, stress aging you): Add two cups of Epsom Salt to the water in a standard-sized bathtub; soak for at least 12 minutes, three times weekly. For an extra treat, add a few drops of eucalyptus oil for a refreshing scent.
Hair volumizer: Combine equal parts of warm, deep conditioner and Epsom Salt. Work the warm mixture through your hair and leave on for 20 minutes. Rinse.
Foot scrub: Mix 2 cups of Epsom Salt with 1/4 cup of petroleum jelly and a few drops of your favorite essential oil. Use the mixture to gently scrub the heels and dry, rough patches on the feet. Repeat every few days.
Meal Replacement Products In Your Weight Loss Program
Meal substitutes or meal replacements, are usually powder mixes, premixed liquids, or meal bars which can, as the name implies, be used as a substitute, or replacement, for a regular meal. Meal substitutes or meal replacements should not completely replace the normal diet. However, meal substitutes can be a very convenient and efficient way to help reduce calories and control dietary intake in any weight loss program.
One of the great benefits of a meal replacement or substitute is the fact that you will generally have a very accurate description of the calories, protein, fiber, vitamins, fats, carbohydrates and other nutrients contained in the product. When you eat a meal, on the other hand, you may have to guess at, or approximate the amounts and qualities of the nutrients in the food you have eaten.
Another great benefit is usually ease of preparation and storage. This is a good thing for those of us with busy lifestyles. Many meal replacements are canned, and preparation usually consists of opening the can (hint: Most taste better when chilled, so you might have to force yourself to put the can in the fridge for a while). Powders, on the other hand, DO have to be mixed. Some may be mixed with water, some may be mixed with milk or a milk substitute, and some may be mixed with some kind of juice. Many powdered meal substitutes have various flavors, thus providing some variety.
If you are trying to get in some exercise, there is a chance you may be squeezing it in during your lunch break. It is a good idea to provide your body with some quality protein within 30 minutes after execise, and it might be difficult to get a decent lunch in the time left after exercising. A meal replacement can be finished, or even consumed completely at your desk, leaving your lunch time free for whatever you might need to do.
Many times, the options for lunch or other meals when you are away from your home are limited or at least confusing in the context of health and weight loss. A good meal replacement or meal substitute can give you a viable alternative.
Any meal replacement should include high protein content while being low in fat and calories.
Another thing to concerned with would be the fiber content. Many people who are restricting calories in weight loss programs often omit foods which might have a high fiber content. Fiber helps provide a full feeling, and high fiber diets may contribute to reduction of occurence of certain medical conditions.
Not all meal replacement products are created equal. Most over-the-counter (OTC) products are intended for general consumption, usually with weight loss as a target, and some are actually intended for weight gain. These last products would usually be from companies such as EAS and Weider.
Remember, however, that meal replacements or meal substitutes are helpers in a sensible weight loss program that includes proper and regular nutrition intake coupled with a regular exercise program, and should never BE the weight loss program.

The Path to Become a Certified Pharmacy Technician
According to labor and industry predictions, the profession of pharmacy tech has a strong growth outlook into the foreseeable future. With baby boomers entering their golden years and an already present shortage of Pharmacists in the U.S. Pharmacy Technicians are heavily relied on to pick up the slack.
The path to becoming a Pharmacy Technician varies by state. Most states require national certification from either the PTCB or ExCPT as a minimal qualification for licensing.
Several options are available to study for the PTCB and ExCPT exams:
o Self Study
o Online Classes
o Community College Program
o Tech School Program
Hardest topics to study:
o Pharmacy Tech students usually find the toughest part of studying for the Pharmacy Tech Test is memorizing the Top 200 Drugs. Although most programs recommend learning the Top 200, if you don’t currently work around drugs daily the Top 100 drugs is more reasonable to learn. On my website I have the Top 100 and Top 200 separately listed for this reason.
o Another topic Pharmacy Tech students struggle with is Pharmacy Math. Pharmacy Techs are required to have a good handle on basic math and some Algebra. Some of the math involved in Pharmacy is Concentration Percentage calculations, Intravenous dosage calculations, Dilution of solutions from one strength to another and memorizing and performing measurement conversions.
Other topics of study:
o Pharmacy Law
o Retail / Hospital Procedures
o Pharmacy Business Functions
o Prescription Abbreviation Decoding
o Pediatric Dosage Calculations
Most common question
The question most people initially have when contemplating a career as a Pharmacy Tech is how they will become certified. A program at a Technical School or Community College is valuable for those who have the time and money necessary to attend them. These programs offer structure and some of them even offer lifetime job placement assistance. Self study is another option and the least expensive. The discipline required to do self study is much greater than a live program. However, there are several resources available with all of the information needed to study and pass the certification test.
Nutrition For Your Electrical Body
The body is a network of nerve and senses that form a “body electric” sort of speaking. We hear, taste, smell, feel and see because of our electrical body receiving signals from our internal receptors, sending them to the brain via the nerves for processing. Nutrition for this construction must therefore include all foods that will keep your nerves and receptors (which include the skin, eyes, nose and taste buds) all working in sync.
To start of is the brain, which is the main organ that coordinates the electrical body. One needs to eat proper balanced diets to encourage the proper working of the brain. Foods containing omega3 fatty acids have been found beneficial to the brain cells and therefore one can consider having fish (especially wild salmon) as part of the diet. Eyes are other component of your electrical body that needs proper nutrition to enhance their performance. As many medics would readily tell you, proper nutrition and especially the inclusion of carrots are necessary for your eyes. Carrots contain beta-carotene, which is ideal for maintaining good eyesight. In addition to carrots, one needs to eat foods rich in minerals such as iodine and zinc in order to enhance the performance of the nerves that connect the eyes to the brain.
Nutrition for your electrical body should contain enough vitamins and minerals, which are specifically vital for the proper working of the nerve cells. More to this, vitamin C is known to keep off some diseases like flu, which have been found to occur when the electrical body is registering lower than 60 hertz frequencies. Research on the electrical body carried out by scientists in the past indicates that a healthy frequencied body registers frequencies rates of between 62 and 72 hertz. Below the 62 hertz mark is usually seen in people with specific health conditions.
The electrical body is also made of millions of cells. All the cells need to be properly fed and hydrated in order to enable the electrical currents, which is contained in the neurons to be transmitted efficiently. This means that in addition to the ordinary diet that one consumes, they should also drink sufficient water everyday. The recommended water intake is eight glasses on a daily basis. Other fluids taken during the day can count too. Alcoholic beverages do not count to. In fact, alcohol should be avoided completely as it interferes with the normal functioning of the body. Recreational drugs are also a “no-no” substances should be excluded from nutrition for your electrical body.
Since most of the trace minerals that enhance the performance of the nerves and neurons are rare even with eating the right foods, taking mineral supplements is recommended. Such supplements include iron, zinc, manganese, folic acid and calcium.
